Privacy & Terms

What we collect

SPADE collects your phone number for OTP authentication, demographic details you provide during onboarding (persona, location, education, and related attributes), your votes and stance history on civic propositions, and basic device signals used for fraud prevention.

How we use it

We use this data to personalise your feed, show demographic comparisons ("People Like You"), improve product quality, prevent abuse, and—only with your consent—include anonymised aggregates in research or institutional reporting. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

Aggregate, anonymised sentiment data may be shared with researchers, media, or institutional partners. Individual identities are never disclosed in those reports. Service providers (authentication, hosting, analytics) process data only as needed to run SPADE.

Your choices

You can update demographics and consent preferences in Profile. You may request account deletion from Profile; deletion removes your identity layer and associated personal records according to our retention policy. Historical anonymised vote aggregates may remain for research integrity.
